BONTANG – From 8 December 2006 to 20 November 2023, in carrying out its operational activities, Badak LNG did not experience work accidents that resulted in the loss of safe working hours. Badak LNG recorded a safety record with a total of 125,004,162 safe working hours or 17 years without work accidents.

Teten Hadi Rustendi, Director & COO of Badak LNG, said that as a company operating in the LNG industry with high risks, this achievement is a source of pride that should be grateful for and must be maintained because this achievement was not immediately achieved by Badak LNG. He explained that there was a long trail of continuous transformation processes in improving the implementation of work safety. Badak LNG also learns from past mistakes, and opens itself to best practices by paying attention to the Company’s internal conditions.

As a result, Badak LNG consistently maintains safe working hours to this day. “Thank God, Badak LNG achieved 125 million safe working hours. This is an achievement to be grateful for because Badak LNG has operated safely for 17 years, without accidents,” said Teten, Monday (20/11).

Badak LNG’s success in maintaining a record of 17 years without work accidents, said Teten, is a reflection of the company’s culture which makes safety a top priority. Coupled with full involvement and support from management. As well as, high commitment from all workers. For this reason, Teten expressed his gratitude by giving appreciation to all workers. “Thank you to all workers and work partners who have implemented work safety well, consistently, and also made it a necessity. This achievement would not have been possible without the commitment of all parties. At the same time, let’s use this achievement as more motivation to continue maintaining a safe work environment,” explained Teten.

The company also fulfills various work safety standardization applications, such as SMK3, ISRS, SMKM, ISO 50001:2018, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 37001:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and SUPREME.
