BONTANG – PT Badak LNG recorded positive operational performance throughout 2023. In fact, the realization achieved was the best performance realization in history. Apart from experiencing an increase in gas processing production, management was also successful in achieving achievements in the HSSE and ESG aspects, up to a total of 68 awards.

Teten Hadi Rustendi, Director and COO of Badak LNG, said that in terms of production, Badak LNG experienced an increase in production of up to 10% compared to plans at the beginning of the year. This increase cannot be separated from the contribution of feed gas from gas producers. “We experienced an increase in production of 10% compared to the initial plan. This increase is not solely the result of our efforts, but is also assisted by gas supplies coming from producers,” said Teten in his statement, Thursday (11/1).

Apart from that, this increase in production can also be achieved through the efforts of Badak LNG workers. With a limited number of human resources that only match the needs of 2 refineries, workers with their extensive experience are able to work together to operate 3 refineries. This follows an increase in the amount of gas supply so that the number of refineries running also increases. “The increase in production was also achieved due to extraordinary efforts. With the number of human resources designed for only 2 refineries, they are also able to operate 3 refineries because they follow conditions of increasing gas supply from upstream,” said Teten.

Other achievements in 2023 are being able to ship 89.26 standard cargoes of LNG, 101,003 metric tons of LPG shipments, production availability which has increased from 2022, namely 99.44%, and succeeded in reducing the use of the budget to 4% lower than the budget. allocated. No less important is Badak LNG’s HSSE achievement of reaching more than 125 million safe working hours which is equivalent to 17 years. This achievement is also an indication that Badak LNG is committed to maintaining safety in the Company’s operations. “So the definition of 17 years without a work accident is not just a fatality. However, in the 17 years that Badak LNG has been operating, there has never been a worker who had an accident and was unable to return to work within 24 hours. I hope we can continue to maintain this in the future,” explained Teten.

Apart from achievements in terms of production and HSSE, Badak LNG is also committed to aspects of social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) in the area around the company. This is proven by the success of getting PROPER Gold for the 13th time in 2023. This award is the highest from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Badak LNG is one of two companies that are able to maintain it. (RI)
